Are you addicted to the social network?

A day seems incomplete if you haven’t logged into Facebook or Twitter or LinkedIn or Instagram or Pinterest or Youtube and those unlimited networking sites... Gone were the days’ when we used to hang out with friends outside college campus and wouldn’t stop bloviating about boys, classes, movies, politics, college etc. These days one only gets to gawk at people with their phones. I’m positive that everyone has begun to observe a pattern of less vocal communication. We are so technology bound!

When I attend a family get-together, the way we connect is by posting pictures on social sites. There are no face-to-face conversations left in this world. At times, I wonder how we were living our lives without the advantage of internet and social sites. When I look into my past, I remember coming home from school; gulping lunch; finishing homework; and off to the playground with neighbors or school friends.

Times have changed. Now-a-days, everyone is so engrossed into technology that nothing else is visible to people. Our generation has made technology a vital part of our life. Infact, it’s impractical to see a life without the social engine.

Be it birthday’s, anniversary’s, get well soon messages, reminder’s, status updates, vacation plans, messages every discourse occurs at the social engine. Phoning a person is simple over-rated these days!

From news to promotions to new inventions, everything is declared on the social sites. Once you get pinched by these friendly sites, there is no turning back! In yesteryears’ people used to pick up newspapers in the morning to skim through whereabouts of political leaders, local news, movies, articles etc. And now, morning tea is savored with the Internet…

Families have also adopted a new way to correlate now-a-days. It’s no longer a surprise to see your parents and grandparents liking a picture on your Facebook profile. And the new generation feels embarrassment in adding parents to their friend’s list. Which, by the way, is normal?!

There is not a single thing you can think of which is not populated amongst these social sites.

Hail to the internet!
Hail to the networking engine!

Age matters between the legs – Amar Singh

Please excuse me for the insolent title of this article. Our bloody politicos are good for nothing people. Last night while surfing through YouTube, I came across an audio recording. I was jolted by the filthy conversation between Amar Singh and Bipasha Basu. I turned over to my better half to find out the details of this scandal.

So, Amar Singh phones got tapped back in 2006 and the Supreme Court had put a gag order on the audio conversations. Just recently the gag order got lifted and BINGO! Amar Singh’s image got exploited in the media. At first, I could not digest the fact that the other person on line was actually Bips! I heard it twice. OMG, even the sound of them two flirting together was filled with disgust. I really don’t understand how these B’town girls can sleep around with ‘tharki’ men like Amar Singh! Ugh…again, excuse the language! Thanks to our movies, I too, have learnt some provocative language. Now that our Beedi girl got exposed, she can say goodbye to her beau forever. Seriously, who would want some old bastard when you are the ‘lover girl’ of the Macho Man of India? Basu’s nine year old relationship eradicated in nine minutes.

Well, tamasha doesn’t end here! YouTube is polluted with such phonic conversations. Another discussion I encountered was with Jaya Prada. I don’t feel the need of going into details. Let’s just say, a lot got revealed about how the so-called-Richie-rich compensate for the best interior decorators for their Villa’s. Not to forget the ghapla’s required for the gaddi’s at the Parliament ghar. Now that Singh’s image is completely tarnished; bogus stories are being made from his side. Per his statement, the voice samples were ‘concocted and doctored’. Give us a break! Will ya…?

Koffee with Karan

I like…nah…I love this show! A-class celebrities babbling with ‘The Man’ and sipping koffee in a very gay mood. Since the news channel and B’town media is ranting a little too much on Ash calling her father-in-law ‘Hot’, I knew season three is brewing… Gawd, can this lady grow up at all? I mean, who calls their father-in-law HOT publicly or privately? Anyhow, irrespective of this, I’m anxiously waiting for the season three to start. One thing’s for sure, Karan does everything with panache! Whether it’s throwing a party or sipping koffee.

Yesterday evening, after a thirty minute run in somewhat a chilly yet sexy weather, I surfed through some YouTube videos. Out of nowhere, I came across Rakhi Sawant’s episode with KWK. I got too startled and watched it all over again. That girl is Something. O yeah, believe me you, she is considered the gutsiest lady of India. She’s blunt, bold and just out there… However, at times, the boldness should remain inside only. Like she mentioned on the show, “my parents tell me, you don’t have to act like a Damini.” On a side note, remember the legendary dialogue from Damini, ‘tareeqh pe tareeqh’ alleged by Sunny Deol. Well, the Deol clan is coming out next year with a bumper dhamaka of their ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’. Oops, got a little side-tracked here! Back to Rakesh Sawant, ohhh I meant Rakhi Sawant!

According to Rakhi, if she talks in English then only she can understand, audience will misinterpret every word of her. This was proven when she performed at the opening day of Bigg Boss and called herself ‘Solitid’. Salman and I, both took a while to figure out that she actually meant ‘Solitaire’. Everyone just loves to hate her. Karan fancied her company to the fullest on his show. There wasn’t a single dull moment around Rakhi. I believe this is the only episode where Karan could not stop laughing. And yeah, the entire Rakhi chapter was too hilarious even for the audience.

Going in a loop…Season three will start with a big bang! The first guest [like I mentioned earlier], will have Jr. Bachchans followed by an awaiting episode of Aamir Khan. I hope this time Karan brings on Rakhi Sawant and Dolly Bindra together. They’ll bring the entire house down with their cheesy comments. And yeah, the producers will have a ball with the highest TRP ever!
